FAQs

(FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)

Questions From Parents

Question 1: What age ranges is AD AXS designed for?

Most of our programs are designed for performers ages 12–20, though some experiences (like AXS Orlando) and training workshops are open to performers as young as 7.

Each program will list specific age requirements.

Question 2: Do I need to attend with my child?

No, but you’re welcome to! Some events include optional parent education tracks, which we highly recommend you attend, while others may offer opportunities to observe and/or attend performances.

We'll always clarify this in the program details.

Question 3: What is included in the cost of each program?

Each program has a unique package—some include lodging, meals, park tickets, and performances, while others are training-only. Our goal is present the full cost of the program and add-ons with no hidden or extra fees.

Every experience has a breakdown available on its individual info page or PDF guide.

Question 4: Is AD AXS a good fit for college prep or a professional career path?

Yes. Many of our performers are preparing to audition for college programs and agency auditions an use our group coaching services.

Many of our alumni are also working on Broadway, Theme Parks, Cruise Lines, Television, Film and recording artists careers.

We aim to provide clarity, confidence, and proven strategies for you and your performer to gain and maintain a career path within the entertainment industry.

Question 5: How do I know if my child is “ready”?

In our experience, talent does not always land the job. Character, integrity and work ethic are just as important in many cases.

If they’re dedicated, curious, and ready to be challenged, they’re ready for AXS.

Once in the program we can evaluate your performer and provide the best plan to be the most successful with their unique skill set.

Every performer grows at their own pace—and our job is to help them be the best they can be so they can see what’s possible.

We have discovered "ready" is a state of mind and not simply a skill set.

Questions From Performers

Question 2: What if I’m not trained in all three areas (dance, acting, and voice)?

That’s okay! Most performers have a strength and areas where they’re still growing.

Our programs are built to meet you where you are—and help stretch your skills while building your confidence.

What is most important, we are asking you to come with an open mind, a mindset to learn, and the knowledge that we've "got your back"!

Question 1: Do I have to audition to participate?

Yes and No.

NO - The Accelerate (XLR8) Training Programs are open to all performers with a strong interest in growing their craft. Auditions are not required for the XLR8 programs.

YES - However, The AXS Performance Experience Program does require an audition submission in order to participate as we are looking for the most talented, dedicated and character driven performers in the nation to participate in these programs.

Our training programs are for curious and aspiring performers which prepare them for our performance experiences which require an audition submission in order to participate.

Question 3: What should I bring to a training or performance weekend?

Once accepted or registered, you'll receive a full welcome packet with packing lists, schedules, dress codes, and anything else you’ll need as each opportunity will require specific individual requirements.

Question 4: Will I get feedback on my performance?

Yes! We provide real-world feedback from the AXS team as well as working professionals in the industry to help you grow—not just praise, but insight and constructive criticism designed to move you toward your career goals
